Places Mentioned is the is a new feature that will appear on the mobile app for iOS and Android for food and drink videos that YouTube can identify places within. The launch date and whether or not Places Mentioned will be extended to more video genres have yet to be announced by the firm.

By default, the description box in the YouTube app is reduced, so users must expand it to read the description.
